Mohammad Abdouni

Mohamad Abdouni is an artist, filmmaker, photographer, and the Editor-in-Chief of COLD CUTS, the photo journal exploring queer cultures in the SWANA region. His work has been shown at the Brooklyn Museum, FOAM Amsterdam, Institut du Monde Arabe, Art Basel (Paris+), and the Lyon Biennale, and he received the 2023 Lafayette Anticipations Prize. Mohamad directs narrative fashion films and music videos for clients such as Gucci, Vogue US & Italia, Burberry, Puma, The New York Times, Fendi, Farfetch, GQ, Dazed, Another, Nowness, and L’Officiel. His personal work centers on queer histories in the Arab region, including the long-term archival project Treat Me Like Your Mother, now housed at the Arab Image Foundation. He is currently exploring themes of masculinity, family, and inherited identities.
